Description
INDICATIONS
Active immunization of horses 4 months of age or older against equine influenza for the reduction of clinical signs and viral excretion after infection.
– Start of immunity: 14 days after the primary vaccination.
– Duration of immunity induced by the vaccine schedule: 5 months after the primary vaccination and 1 year after the third vaccination.
DOSE / APPLICATION / ADMINISTRATION
Route of administration: Intramuscular.
Dosage:
– First vaccine schedule – Vaccination against equine influenza:
Administer one dose (1ml of ProteqFlu), by intramuscular injection, preferably in the neck, according to the following vaccination schedule:
* Primary vaccination: first injection from 5 – 6 months, second injection 4 – 6 weeks later.
* Booster injection: 5 months after the primary vaccination, and then annual boosters.
– Second vaccine schedule – Vaccination against equine influenza and tetanus:
Administer one dose (1ml) by intramuscular injection, preferably in the neck, according to the following vaccination schedule:
Primary vaccination with ProteqFlu-Te: first injection from 5 – 6 months, second injection 4 – 6 weeks later.
Booster injection: 5 months after the primary vaccination with ProteqFlu-Te. Followed by: or against tetanus: injection of 1 dose with a maximum interval of 2 years with ProteqFlu-Te.
Or against equine influenza: injection of 1 dose every year, alternatively with ProteqFlu or ProteqFlu-Te, respecting a maximum interval of 2 years for the tetanus component.
It can be used during pregnancy and lactation.

*vCP content checked by DIIF50 global (infectious dose 50 % by immunofluorescence) and qPCR ratio between vCP.
ADJUVANT:
Carbomer: 4mg
