INDICATIONS
Pegasol® oral paste for horses controls the following parasites:
Large strongyles, small strongyles, pinworms and ascarids. It can safely be used in horses of all ages including pregnant mares, stallions and foals.

COMPOSITION
Each syringe contains: Pyrantel pamoate 11,41 g

STORAGE
Store below 30 °C. Keep away from light.

WARNINGS
• NO WITHDRAWAL PERIOD.
• DO NOT EXCEED THE RECOMMENDED DOSE.
• Keep out of reach of uninformed persons, children and animals.
• Although this remedy has been extensively tested under a large variety of conditions, failure thereof may ensue as a result of a wide range of reasons. If
this is suspected, seek veterinary advice and notify the registration holder.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE: USE ONLY AS DIRECTED
• Dose orally.
• Because re-infection is common, treatment must be repeated routinely for effective control.

DOSAGE
• The contents of 1 syringe (26 g) will treat 1 horse of 600 kg body mass.
• Each mass marking on the syringe will deliver 6,5 g of paste, which is sufficient to treat 150 kg body mass.
• This will deliver pyrantel pamoate at 19 mg/kg which is the recommended dosage rate.

ADMINISTRATION
• Ensure that the horse’s mouth is free of food before administration.
• Turn the ring on the plunger to the correct dosage setting in accordance with the horse’s weight.
• Insert the syringe into the side of the horse’s mouth in the gap between the front and back teeth.
• Advance the plunger to the chosen dosage, depositing the medication at the rear of the tongue.
• Raise the horse’s head for a few seconds immediately after dosing to ensure that the full dose has been swallowed.

EFFICACY
Pegasol® broad spectrum parasiticide effectively controls the following worms in horses:

Large strongyles
* Strongylus vulgaris
* Strongylus edentatus
* Strongylus equinus

Small strongyles
* Ascarids Parascaris equorum

Pinworms
* Oxyuris equi
* Probstmayria vivipara

Pegasol® aids in the control of immature Oxyuris equi.

This anthelmintic may also be effective against other species. For more information consult your veterinarian.
